Six-week Beginners' Tarot Course Outline

All our classes and courses are offered online only. We use Zoom.

Involves : Six Saturday morning classes, 10am - 1 Brisbane AEST with a certificate of completion at the end.
 

The course provides notes prepared specially by the Brisbane Tarot School, plus additional materials and downloads that you can print off and save. Well over eighty pages in total!

 

Plus you have the added bonus of access to a recording of the weekly class.

Students have gone on to become professional readers or simply to include Tarot as part of their personal daily practice or even business practice, with confidence.

The six-week Tarot course that we offer at the Brisbane Tarot School is the most comprehensive course that we have developed. We have been running the Tarot school for over 10 years. Now due to popular demand, we are exclusively available, via Zoom. 

 

• It is the most extensive course available in Queensland and we have empowered 100's of students in 10 years of operation. They have gone on to become professional readers or simply to include Tarot as part of their personal daily practice or even business practice, with confidence.

• This course assumes no prior knowledge and is so extensive that REGARDLESS if you have no prior knowledge or some prior knowledge, every student emerges feeling confident and empowered from their connection to the cards 

• The development of your understanding of how to link your intuition that we all have, to the Tarot will astound you! 

 

What does the course comprise?

• Six Tuesday evening classes - 6pm-8pm Brisbane AEST

• A certificate of completion at the end. 

• The course provides course materials prepared by the Brisbane Tarot School, plus additional materials and downloads that you can print off and save. 

• The ability to learn and be exposed to the meanings of and key aspects of all 78 cards

• Thorough explanation of the importance of and development of the Major and Minor Arcana

• An understanding of the history and development of Tarot necessary to fully integrate its use of mythology and symbolism in its imagery and card meanings.

• The introduction to Tarot readings for personal development 

• Exposure to a range of simple Tarot activities that will assist your confidence in understanding how card meanings build on each other

• Tutorials on Tarot spreads for a range of situations 

• Advice for readings for others to prepare you should you wish to advance in a Tarot related career.

• Extensive teacher support

• All live sessions will be recorded and a link will be sent out after the class to access the recording in case you want to review the content or you were unable to attend the live session.

• Access the class from the location of your choice. Anywhere can be your classroom if you have a computer or tablet with the Zoom app, microphone enabled and video.

Your Teacher will be available during the course duration of six weeks to answer questions via email at brisbanetarotschool@gmail.com 

 

We are limiting each course intake to 10 students to ensure that each one of you gets the attention you deserve and we can ensure that your individual needs and support requirements for success with Tarot are met. 

 

You will need an original Rider-Waite Smith Tarot deck. You will have to source and purchase this and it is not covered in the course cost.

 

The coursebook we have always used was "78 Days Around the Tarot" by Katz and Goodwin. This is a thorough companion text but we no longer insist on it at this time due to availability of resources due to postal issues and stock. We have also been advised and are very excited that it is available for download through Amazon if you prefer a digital copy, however. Booktopia online also has stock as does Book Depository online.

 

A list of other recommended reference books can and will be made available during the course or prior to if you get in touch with us.

 

The cost for the six weeks remains at $290 and can be paid by bank transfer. Please note, unless your course fees are paid in full your enrollment is not confirmed.

 

To confirm your enrollment 

• Request an invoice via reply email 

• On payment for the full amount, we will send a confirmation of enrollment email. 

• We will also need your full name and mobile number which will be held securely and will not be used for promotional purposes but simply for security purposes and contact during the duration of the course.

• It will be your responsibility to acquire the deck as mentioned above but all else is provided.  

 

What happens next 

• On each week of the course, you will receive that week's notes and a Zoom meeting link for the Saturday morning class.

• Please ensure you have downloaded the Zoom app and have a quiet place to participate with video and microphone enabled. 

• The course will be recorded and recorded links available to access at any time to review the content via a zoom link or should the situation arise that you are unable to attend the class live.
